Summary: The check-in process was a little stressful. We arrived a few minutes before the 5 PM check-in time and the owner was nowhere to be found. I called a couple of times with no response before we finally found her out and about doing chores. We were able to get her attention to be let into the property. The main living area is available for guest use but has a heavy odor of cats. The rented room and bathroom are clean and the odor is much more tolerable. Once in the room, we were provided the house rules. There is no food or drink permitted in the guest room and while you have access to the great room to eat or watch tv, there is no meat consumption allowed. We also were made to feel like it was an inconvenience when we asked if we were able to see the alpacas and we ended up only seeing them from a distance. Overall, the bed was comfy and we were pretty much just there to sleep anyways. But I wish we would have been made more aware of the rules and conditions prior to booking.

Summary: The host was nice
The animals were amazing
The farm is beautiful
The only 2 things were bad i couldnt sleep from the over powering smell of cat pee
And its a bed and breakfast wasnt offered any food or drink

Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Montrose Farms Alpaca Ranch. It was a treat to stay in a comfortable and homey atmosphere rather than an antiseptic hotel room. As an animal lover, I felt instantly at ease on the working farm. This is my preferred stop for all future trips through Brownsburg.

Summary: I had a great stay here in the last couple of days. She was a wonderful hostess and my room and bathroom were spotless and the rest of the home is beautiful as well. I didn't get to pet the Alpaca's because I was busy so make sure you do. The only suggestion I have is maybe upgrade the mattress. Other than that, totally 5 stars.

Summary: This was one of the most unique stays of my life. The home and its grounds were lovely, the hostess charming, the setting quiet and peaceful, and the room worth way more that what I paid. Meeting the alpacas (and their sheepdog guardians) was of course a special treat, but the several cats and Walter the dog inside were great fun as well. I loved the entire experience.
