Barrio Escalante is a very walkable neighbourhood — most restaurants, cafés, and shops are just a few minutes away on foot. For longer trips, it’s easy to catch an Uber or taxi, and public buses run frequently to downtown San José and nearby areas. The city’s local train also connects to a few neighbouring towns, though most visitors find ride-shares and buses more convenient. If you’re driving, there’s convenient parking available at an additional cost. Many guests choose to explore on foot or by ride-share since everything is so close and well-connected. The Interbus shuttle office is located very close to the building and they offer shuttle service to many Costa Rican destinations including Nicaragua.

Foreign guests will be required to provide a copy of their passport, while Costa Rican residents may provide a copy of their cédula (national ID).

The information is used solely for guest registration with security/concierge, and only the required identification details will be provided for registration purposes.
Only guests registered on the reservation and included in the guest registry are permitted on the property. Unregistered visitors are not allowed inside the condo or in common areas, including the pool and amenities areas, in accordance with building security policies and condominium regulations. This helps maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for all residents and guests.

These rules are set by the building administration and apply to all residents and guests. Thank you for helping maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable community.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a fine between USD $75 and $350, as determined by building administration
1. Social Areas & Amenities
The gym, swimming pool, coworking space, and lounge are available for guest use, subject to building rules, capacity limits, and schedules.
Yoga and meeting rooms require advance reservation through your host.
Special amenities (including the cinema, game room, and other social spaces) require advance reservation by the host and are available only to guests staying six (6) nights or more.
Outside visitors are not permitted to use any social or common areas.
2. Smoke-Free Building
URBN is a 100% smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted

This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs, vapes, or similar products.
3. Noise
Please be considerate of neighbors and keep noise levels reasonable at all times, particularly during the evening hours. Loud music or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
4. Visitors
For stays of five (5) nights or fewer, visitors are not permitted inside the apartment or building.
For stays of six (6) nights or more, visitors require prior written authorization from the property owner or building administration.
5. Balcony Safety
For everyone’s safety, do not throw any objects or liquids from balconies. This includes food, drinks, or any other items.
6. Conduct
Any behavior that is disruptive, inappropriate, or contrary to community standards is not permitted in apartments or common areas.
7. Garbage & Recycling
Regular household garbage may be disposed of in the garbage chute on your floor.
Do not place diapers, glass bottles, cardboard boxes, or large items in the chute.
Recycling must be separated and taken to the garbage room on Basement Level 1.
8. Drones
The use of drones anywhere on or around the property is not permitted, as it may affect the privacy of residents.
9. Photography
Commercial photography or filming in common or social areas is not permitted. URBN is a registered trademark, and prior authorization is required.
10. Guests must shower in the designated pool showers beside the pool prior to entering the pool.

Estas normas son establecidas por la administración del edificio y aplican a todos los residentes y huéspedes. Gracias por contribuir a una comunidad segura, respetuosa y agradable.
El incumplimiento de estas normas puede generar una multa entre USD $75 y $350, según lo determine la administración del condominio.
1. Áreas Sociales y Amenidades
El gimnasio, la piscina, el coworking y el lounge están disponibles para uso de los huéspedes, sujetos a las normas, horarios y capacidad del edificio.
Las salas de yoga y reuniones requieren reservación previa a través de tu anfitrión.
Las amenidades especiales (incluyendo cine, sala de juegos y otros espacios sociales) requieren reservación previa por parte del anfitrión y están disponibles únicamente para huéspedes con estancias de seis (6) noches o más.
No se permiten visitantes externos en las áreas sociales o comunes.
2. Edificio Libre de Humo
URBN es un edificio 100% libre de humo. Está prohibido fumar:

3. Ruido
Por favor mantén un volumen moderado en todo momento, especialmente durante la noche, y sé respetuoso con los vecinos. No se permite música alta ni comportamientos ruidosos.
4. Visitantes
Para estancias de cinco (5) noches o menos, no se permiten visitantes dentro del apartamento ni del edificio.
Para estancias de seis (6) noches o más, los visitantes requieren autorización previa por escrito del propietario o de la administración del condominio.
5. Seguridad en Balcones
Por seguridad, está prohibido lanzar objetos o líquidos desde los balcones, incluyendo comida, bebidas u otros artículos.
6. Comportamiento
No se permite ningún comportamiento inapropiado, disruptivo o contrario a las normas de convivencia dentro del apartamento o en las áreas comunes.
7. Basura y Reciclaje
Deposita la basura doméstica regular en el tubo de basura de tu piso.
No arrojes pañales, botellas de vidrio, cajas ni objetos grandes que puedan bloquear el ducto.
Separa los materiales reciclables y llévalos al cuarto de basura en el Sótano Nivel 1.
8. Drones
Está prohibido el uso de drones dentro o alrededor del edificio, ya que puede afectar la privacidad de los residentes.
9. Fotografía
No se permite tomar fotografías o videos con fines comerciales en las áreas comunes o sociales. URBN es una marca registrada y se requiere autorización previa.
