It is also under the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, so it’s ideal for stargazing. On clear nights, you can see the Milky Way, planets, and shooting stars (consider bringing binoculars or booking a stargazing tour for an even better experience).
Great base for exploring Mt Cook & hiking.
