A flight of 16 stairs leads you to the quiet, sunny second floor sunny apartment where you'll overlook vegetable and perennial gardens. Lots of windows allow the southern and western facing sunlight to filter in. Perfect artist retreat!
The private bedroom has a queen bed and simple furnishings with bedside tables and lamps for bedtime reading. Pine bead board ceilings and natural wide pine floors are new and clean . Open concept kitchen/dining/ living room with views of Round Pond's white and brown church steeples, woodlands, and gardens. Ocean breezes will cool the night so there is a fan but no ac. Bathroom right around the corner from the bedroom with a shower. Plenty of towels and 2 beach towels included.
Fully equipped kitchen with propane range and microwave. Small appliances include a coffee maker and press pot, coffee grinder and toaster. Pots and pans are Pampered Chef. Plastic and foil wraps, salt/pepper, olive oil, sugar and some herbs included. The island is perfect for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. Internet access. There are plenty of magazines like Down East and Maine Home, as well as books to borrow or trade.
Located across the street from community tennis /basketball court and a 5 minute walk from Round Pond Harbor. Eat lobster in the rough open until Columbus Day. Visit our famous Pemaquid Lighthouse and walk the rocky shore or sunbathe at Pemaquid Beach, our town sandy ocean beach.
Live music at the Brown Church every Wednesday evening for a donation. Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Granite Hall Store and Dot's Bakery. Lovely walks right out the back door into the woods and fields or stroll or bike along Back Shore Road to Bass Rock Preserve. Many local preserves for walking, Pemaquid Beach a short drive away, kayak rentals nearby to access Muscongus Bay and the islands.
