This lovely home has been carefully restored by 3 generations of the family over the past 45 years. It has 5 bedrooms, 4 of which are fully en-suite. The large lounge has a wood-burning stove in a feature traditional fireplace. A new air-conditioned studio offers generous space for group sessions of yoga, pilates, or use as a home office.
The fully-fitted kitchen has 2 electric ovens, a 5-ring gas stove, large fridge, cafetière, toaster, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a view through to the dining room which has 2 comfy armchairs in front of a second wood-burning stove and a round table which can easily accommodate 12 guests. The utility includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, and drying area.
There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with a large ensuite shower room. On the first floor there is a super kingsize bedroom with ensuite shower and bath; and a second double bedroom with small ensuite bathroom. The studio is located on the first floor and can be used as a home office or for yoga/pilates etc with space for 8 yoga mats (4 are provided).
On the top floor there are 2 further double bedrooms, one of which contains 2 twin beds and a divan which can serve as a double bed or 2 singles. Outside in the garden there is a dining area under an ancient walnut tree, a ping-pong table, barbecue, and pool. The house is in a very rural location, with fields on 3 sides. The heated outdoor pool is open from May to September only. It is protected by an electric cover. There is no fence around the pool. Please note that children must be closely supervised at all times near the pool.
We have enhanced our cleaning practices in response to Covid-19, and follow national guidelines on cleaning and disinfecting between guests. We always allow at least 24 hours between bookings.
