Our Cottage provides views of Mt Lovewell and Loon Pond- perfect for romantics, artists, writers and outdoor enthusiasts. The house is not suitable for small children or pets. Walk up two flights of stairs to reach the cottage allowing serenity and beautiful views. Loon Pond is a quiet water, our town reservoir, permitting use of canoes and kayaks, but no motorized boats or swimming.
Centrally located between Crotched Mountain, Pat’s Peak and Mt Sunapee, it is a perfect location for hiking or, in Winter, skiing. Access to numerous wooded trails can be found within 2-3 miles. Kayaking and canoeing are available with a convenient launch site just around the corner. Bicycle storage is available in a garden shed.
Still the cottage feels like a destination in itself, where you can relax and recharge. To continue the connection to the natural surroundings, we chose not to include television screens. Curl up with a book, your mobile device, relax on the decks, or cook your favorite meal in our well appointed kitchen. Enjoy just being in nature.
Our cottage has newly refinished hardwood flooring, a few area rugs and comfortable seating options in the cozy living room, including a sectional sofa with chaise lounge and pull out double bed. The warmth of a propane stove/fireplace provides comfort on chilly mornings.
The recently renovated bathroom, with walk-in shower and beautiful skylight is the perfect spot to start or end your day.
Please note, that while the house is suitable for children approximately age 6 and older, there are no amenities for infants, toddlers or young children. Importantly, the deck and long stairway may present a safety hazard for very young children.
