La Pommière is situated in the hamlet of Villars Heyssier close to Beauvezer. Surrounded by 4000m2 of delightful gardens it offers fantastic views over the mountains. An ideal year round holiday destination this property offers skiing in the winter at the nearby stations of the Val d'Allos but also superb walking, cycling and other activity holidays in the summer. Beautifully positioned this south-west facing chalet enjoys sunshine all day long, even during winter's shortest days.
The chalet has four/five bedrooms over two floors. GROUND FLOOR: a spacious living-dining room with large L-shaped sofa and table with chairs for 14; fully equipped kitchen (fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and electric oven, microwave, 2 large toasters, Delonghi Magnifica coffee maker); bathroom with separate wc and two double bedrooms (one sleeping three in a large double and a single bed and the other sleeping four in a large double and full-size bunk beds). FIRST FLOOR: a further two double bedrooms (one with three single beds and the other with large double and single bed and an ensuite shower room/wc). The large landing sleeps one in a single bed. There is also a second family bathroom with wc. BASEMENT: a further wc, shower and utility / drying room with washing machine, tumble dryer and very effective heating system ensuring that winter washing and ski wear will dry quickly.
There is a very effective oil-fired central heating system ensuring a warm chalet to return to after a day on the slopes and plenty of hot water. A lovely log burning fire with wood supplied offers cosy winter evenings.
The chalet is situated on a number of good walks ensuring that guests can walk or cycle from the gateway.
The extensive grounds are mostly set to grass meaning that it is a wonderful place for children to play. There is a set of swings for children, a small children's play room in an 'abri jardin', swing ball, badminton, croquet, a basketball net, a superb 'terrain boules', table tennis and table football ensure that you need never be bored during your time at La Pommière.
The huge covered terrace equipped with 4 burner barbecue and large 4 burner plancha (gas supplied) offers the opportunity for outside dining in winter or summer. A large square, wooden terrace with wonderful views over the gardens and the mountains beyond offers comfortable seating for 14. An outside jacuzzi is available from mid May to the end of October.
The property is fully fenced with an electrically operated gate. The local town hall ensures that the road to the chalet is cleared of snow whenever there are occupants in place and we provide a snow blower so that snow can be easily removed on site.
