On the northwestern coast of the island in the Balagne, which is considered the most beautiful region of Corsica, lies the romantic fishing village of Algajola. With its idyllic streets, squares and passages Algajola has preserved the charm of a medieval village. The 15th to 17th century citadel or the church of St. Georges make you feel like time has stopped there.
The detached "Villa Maristella" is located just 5 minutes walk from the long sandy beach "Aregno Plage" and about 15 minutes walk from the center of Algajola. It is fully equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.
From the terraces of the house you have a fantastic sea and mountain view.
It is located on the edge of the holiday resort "Ferienhotel Maristella" which is built in the Corsican style. All facilities of the holiday hotel such as restaurant, pool, sunbeds,fireplace, conservatory, TV room, bar, and terrace can be used free of charge. Breakfast or half board as well as other services of the hotel can be booked at the reception.
In the old fishing village of Algajola you will find several restaurants, cafes, bars, souvenir shops and a small supermarket.
With the small train"u trinichellu"you reach the neighboring towns of Calvi (15 km) or Ille Rousse (7 km) with their old picturesque streets where you will find a variety of shops of all kinds.
In the Bay of Algajola, bounded on one side by the citadel and on the other hand by rugged rock formations, there is a long white sandy beach where many water sports are offered in the season. The crystal clear water invites you to swim and snorkel.
