Summary: My son was in hospital in Pontivy following a motorcycle accident. I shared a room with his partner at the Hotel de l'Europe for nine nights. The staff, two sisters and cleaning ladies were all charming and helpful. The sisters spoke English, again so useful for us. The hotel is central and opposite a car park which was free except not available on Mondays for the weekly market. The hotel has a car park for €8 a day. The room was spacious with original features, decorative coving, ceiling rose and fireplace. Very cosy!

Summary: This hotel is a gem. It an old building, from Napoleon 3d era according to the lady that holds it, very well maintained and splendidly luxurious. Handcrafted designs everywhere, high cielings, antique furnitures, paintings, this house screams oppulence from past times. Rooms are large, beds are the kind you regret having to leave every morning, breakfast is served with fresh baked bread and croissants, very courteous personel. Definitaly a better experience than with large commercial hotels, its a fabulous place. Not so many rooms though, so DO IT!
