Summary: Grounds and location are good; rooms are in serious need of updating! Had to switch twice: once because the heat didn’t work, another time because the toilet was as broken. All the rooms are in serious need of updating! We had a free breakfast to make up for it, but it was probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever had! Overheated eggs, rock-hard French toast, and nowhere to sit in the dining hall. We probably won’t be returning to this site again, which is a shame, because as an architect, I really appreciate a Julia Morgan historic building. But this place needs a serious renovation. Only other positive: the staff working there are so nice!
