The Garden Gite, Lamberniere is a recently refurbished single storey stone cottage perfectly located in the heart of the French countryside, providing the perfect setting for a relaxed, yet fun-filled, family holiday. We also accept ONE pet in this property.
Located within easy travelling distance from all major cities, towns and attractions of the Charente Maritime, including the coast and just 5 minutes’ drive from the local market town of Matha, 15 minutes from the Romanesque splendour of St Jean d Angely and 20 minutes from the historical town of Cognac, home to the world famous distilleries of Hennessy, Remy Martin, Martell and Camus and a vast number of celebrated pineau houses and producers.
The Garden Cottage sits within a large, quiet plot in the heart of the village, having its own private terrace/outdoor eating area with Portuguese style stone BBQ and seating for 4 adults. Guests also use the BBQs as outdoor fire-places to further extend their outdoor living during their holiday!
The Garden Cottage has its own terrace and lawned garden, securely fenced to all sides making it ideal for families with small children and/or those who wish to bring their pet on holiday with them.
Guests have access and use of our large 1acre garden with its 10m x 5m in-ground swimming pool, petanque court and a range of family games equipment, including badminton and table-tennis.
Our gites have their own gated access, separate to the main family home of the owners, ensuring privacy and security. There is gravelled parking for a minimum of 2 vehicles and gates with lock.
The large garden is mainly laid to lawn with trees and flower beds and there is ample space for family activities as well as shady areas for comfort during the height of summer. Sun-loungers and tables and chairs around the pool are all provided, as is a range of pool-based games equipment and inflatables.
The Garden Cottage sleeps 4 people. There is a large double bedroom and a good-sized twin room. Cots and high chairs are available to use on request from the owners. The Garden Cottage has a brand new bathroom equipped with a large shower, toilet and wash basin. All bed linen and bath towels are provided, as is a beach/pool towel per person. There is a fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and automatic washing-machine.
Indoors, there is a dining table with chairs for 4 adults. The lounge has sofas and relaxed seating for 4 adults. English Satellite & French TV plus a DVD player with a range of DVDs are provded and free WiFi is accessible throughout the property.
The owners live in the main house adjacent to the cottages which is separated by a gated wall for guests’ privacy. The owners are available throughout your stay to ensure you have everything you need for a great holiday!
