Hidden in a desirable gated community on Saint Simons Island is Jewel of the Sun, occupying 257 feet of fenced river front on Dunbar Creek!
On arrival, the elegantly landscaped property with freshly planted palm trees, 20+ fruit trees, and pristine garden captivate the home's natural beauty. The first level has a full mother-in-law suite with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, sitting area with tv, full bathroom with glass walk-in shower, laundry room, and access to the back patio. The outdoors is our biggest selling factor, if you can dream it...we have it! The gnat free screened in pool area makes being in the sun all day a possibility, including a luxurious heated salt water pool and hot tub with rushing fountain to cool off after a long hot summer day. The teak dining table is enough for 6, not including our dedicated seafood table, with 5 chairs, and two relaxing lounge chairs by the pool. The abby fireplace, for aesthetic only, is surrounded by a cozy 8 person sitting area with two ceiling fans and an 85" tv with surround sound above the fireplace. The activities are endless at Jewel of the Sun, swimming, a small putting green, darts, basketball net, and crabbing and fishing right off the dock.
We have everything you could need to catch your own fish and cook it too! The fishing dock is fully covered with a solar charger, electrical power, a fan, and lights lining the dock. No need to bring your own gear either, we have: a live shrimp well, 6 commercial crab traps, cast nets, clam and oyster steamer, two gas grills, a fish cleaning station, and a small bait refrigerator right on the dock! You can fish directly off the dock, or for a separate fee you can use the 15 ft War Eagle hunting and fishing boat. Our War Eagle has a 24 horse power Yamaha gas engine, auto anchor, and a solar power battery. Please inquire if you would like to use this beauty for your fishing trip!
After washing off the day at our unique surfing inspired outdoor shower, you can use the elevator or the grand stairs to access the remainder of the living spaces. All artwork displayed are from local artists and all mounted fish were personally caught by the owner. The living room is located on the second floor with a marble aesthetic only, fireplace surrounded by plenty of seating for the whole family and a large tv with cable and smart apps. Our large open kitchen has 4 bar stools, a coffee bar, separate wine bar and high-end stainless steel appliances. The 2nd floor laundry is off of the kitchen. Off the kitchen is an elegant formal dinning space that seats 6. The kitchen opens up to a screened in back deck with an ornate stone fireplace, live edge 8ft dining table, a gas grill and relaxing sitting area for 10 people with views of Dunbar Creek and the marsh. This is the perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking sunrises over Dunbar Creek!
The master bedroom is located on the second floor of the main living room. Above the king sized bed is a luxurious half barrel vault ceiling providing a regal feel and a smart tv. Attached to the master is an office space, separated by large floor to ceiling glass doors overlooking the marsh and back deck. The master bathroom has a double vanity, large walk-in steam shower, a separate heated whirlpool tub, and a large walk-in closet.
The third floor hosts 3 bedrooms, as well as a game room/office. The first bedroom on the left has a king sized bed and a full ensuite bathroom with a glass walk in shower. The second bedroom on the right has a queen and two twin sized beds. The two twin beds are accessed by a castle-like staircase to a mini loft. Across the hall from the second bedroom is another office/game room with an xbox and tv for guest use. At the end of the hallway is a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bathroom with double vanity and a glass tub/shower combo.
Guests have access to 4 bikes and the home is also equipped with a full back up generator.
